2008-09-02 - Version 2.2.0

2007-12-04 - Version 2.1.4

2007-09-20 - Version 2.1.2
This is a bugfix release to fix a major bug where the rollover script didnt rollover award prizes properly. If you've already done an rollover with 2.1.0, this version also fixes the problem for you. For a complete list of changes, see

2007-09-11 - Version 2.1.0
Well, its a new science fair season, so its time for a new SFIAB! This version has TONS of new features, including a brand new report generator (to let you build custom reports), as well as many other new features, and lots and lots of bugfixes as well. For a complete list of changes, see

2007-03-05 - Version 2.0.12
This primarily a bugfix release, it contains a several bugfixes, including an important one which caused project numbers to not be generated for some projects if there was multi-year data in the system. For a complete list of changes, see

2007-03-02 - Version 2.0.10
This primarily a bugfix release, it contains a couple enhancements to the info displayed on nametags and table labels as well as updates to the judging manager and judging list. For a complete list of changes see

2007-02-08 - Version 2.0.8
This version adds many new features and fixes several bugs. New features include: new configuration variables page, tshirt options, fee display options, judging special awards selection a post-amble section on the signature page, and a 1"x4" project identification label for use on judging sheets, as well as many other bugfixes! 2007-01-12 - Version 2.0.6
This version adds several new features, such as the Tours module to allow sutdents to choose tour preferences, a new participant registration type 'openorinvite' that combines the benefits of both types, and a TCPDF powered signature page for systems without PDFLib and serveral new configuration options and bug fixes. 2006-12-15 - Version 2.0.4
This version adds several new features that some regions might find useful, including the option to disable the Mentorship section, restrict project title lengths, create project numbers based on the 'shortform' of the divisions/categories (instead of the ID's, eg "J-LS-01"). As well it adds two new interfaces for the administrator to EDIT project info and to EDIT student info. For a complete list of changes see

2006-10-30 - Version 2.0.2
Small bugfix release that fixes two fairly serious bugs. 1) prevents adding judging questions, and 2) rolling over configuration variables doesnt work. For a list of new features, see the notes for 2.0.0
2006-10-25 - Version 2.0.0
Brand spankin' new version, with many updates, fixes and changes. Major new features include 'one-click' CWSF registration, judge scheduler backgrounding & status page, judge management interface, integrated help system, new reports, and much much more.
I expect several small updates to happen between now and March but nothing major. Anyone interested in using SFIAB for their 2007 fairs I would strongly recommend updating to version 2.0.0. For more information on how to update (its painless, really!) see

2006-09-04 - Version 1.1.0
This version has many new features and updates as well as an extremely powerful judge team organizer and scheduler. It also incorporates many bug fixes and updates over the past 6 months. This version is intended to be used as a 'testing' version for fairs that are considering using SFIAB for the upcoming season, however, SFIAB is continueing under heavy development over the next few months and we're expecting a "version 2.0 release" sometime around the end of October.

Sci-Tech Ontario and Lightbox Technologies are pleased to announce SFIAB v1.0.0. This should be the final 'new feature' release of the season, encompassing over a year of programming and testing. Should you find any bugs with this version, please report them in the
bugtracker, or on the mailing list:

here It is expected that several 'bugfix' releases may be required over the next few months should any issues arise. Also available with this release is a
preliminary users manual, this is expected to be updated as more information becomes available.

2005-06-08 - Version 0.9.1
This version is being released as a testing package. Being the first release the idea is to get people to install / test with it, but it is NOT suggested to be used to run a live fair. There will definitely be another few releases before the next science fair season begins, hopefully with lots of feedback from these testing packages.
